History | Management | President's Letter | Our Mission

SEi is a privately held corporation in the business of providing security products and services to its customers.

Primary emphasis will be placed in marketing these products and services in a manner to achieve maximum recurring revenues in the form of Central Station alarm monitoring, equipment leases, maintenance and inspections and long-term contracts with automatic renewal clauses.

Secondary emphasis will be placed in marketing the above with no customer commitment to recurring services but the potential for such exists. Any products or service diversification shall be accomplished only when our primary emphasis is considered and it is determined that such diversification will contribute to an increase in recurring revenues. Those products which do not fit the above criteria should not be marketed without discussion and agreement with top management (i.e., President, Executive Vice President, and Vice President of Marketing) and agreement reached that such product and service sales provide a high profit margin with little risk of erosion and will contribute significantly to capital accumulation.

SEi will concentrate marketing in the areas of Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas with emphasis on the Metro areas of Omaha, Lincoln, Des Moines and Kansas City. Emphasis will be placed on retaining existing customers as well as acquiring new customers. Secondary emphasis will be given to the acquisition of competing companies in the aforementioned geographical areas which offer like products and services.

Opportunities exist to improve performance through the management of both products and services from a profitability and customer satisfaction standpoint as well as increased efficiencies in marketing and advertising. To achieve this, management will need to place increased emphasis on the development and use of existing accounting systems and seek out alternative marketing approaches and techniques. These techniques should be targeted to prospective customers not presently using security devices as well as those that subscribe to competitive security companies.

SEi shall demonstrate a high level of ethics as applied to its customers, vendors and competing companies. Competition shall always be addressed in a positive manner limiting discussion to only their known weaknesses. Derogatory and slanderous statements toward competitors will not be encouraged or tolerated.

The coordination of all departments resulting in a team performance shall be the goal of all managers. The suggestions and recommendations of all employees shall not only be welcomed but will be requested. Employee education shall be made available through a company library, department meetings, vendor presentations as well as outside seminars. Employee wellness and recreational programs will be made available when appropriate. Improved employee communication should be emphasized by management utilizing department meetings, a company newsletter as well as Intranet site.

SEi is commited to a long-term growth strategy so as to assure remaining a viable leader in the security industry while continuing to focus on recurring revenue, profitability, customer retention and the addition of new customers. SEi believes in being a responsible corporate member in the communities it serves, supporting and encouraging corporate and employee involvement in community activities.
